Program Details

Spark-IT plans to train 1,800 graduates spread across 8 – 10 batches at one of the Infosys campuses. These graduates will undergo a 3-month rigorous training program that will cover the basics of IT and help them build a strong understanding of concepts. Some of the courses covered include data structures, RDBMS concepts, algorithms, object-oriented concepts, programming, etc. In addition, the program will also impart soft-skills training to improve communication and interaction skills of the graduates. The course is designed to help these students learn in a world-class environment.
Graduates who are selected for Spark-IT will receive:

• Reimbursement of one-time onward and return travel expenses

Please find the answers to your general queries before joining:-

1) Designation

Cognizant Technology Solutions India Private Limited (“Cognizant”) will offer you the role of Programmer Analyst Trainee for Fresher.

2) After Joining, What next?


Every fresher wants to know what  does a program analyst trainee do at Cognizant? 
You will be allocated different Domains and provide you good training in them.You’ll be well trained over the technology and you’ll eventually learn them irrespective of what you learnt before joining. Training is the best part in Cognizant where you can enjoy the training period.

3) Option to choose domain?

No, You will not be given options to choose domain of yours
However, there are options to change your domains after 1 yr ( Terms & conditions Apply)

4) I have recieved my joining on ## date...what will happen on that day?

First day will be orientation, and on the first day itself you will know your domain, training location.

From the next day, you will report to your respective training. You will again sit in class just like college and the class size varies from 20-34 people. In the first training day, BO (batch owner) will tell about what you will do for the next few months.

This Class room training is for 3 to 5 months ( depending on Domain).Mostly all trainees get confirmed after one year and will be made programmer analyst.

5) Training

Training at cognizant is divided into 2 categories

Academy
Here you will get trained on your respective domains by the trainer and exit tests will be taken

Office Work
Here you will be assigned a project and you will have few more exams called Dovetails

6) Exit Tests
These are the test where you can have a maximum of three attempts and should have cutoff of 70 percent or above. As same as semesters you’ve did in your college, this would be a same classroom sitting system where they train you and test you. Mostly the question pattern would be as 30 Multiple Choice Questions (30 Marks) and 6 Programs (70 Marks).

7) Dovetails
These are similar to exit exams but they have only 30 Multiple Choice Questions and you need to score 60 percent or above with a chance of only 2 attempts.

8) Salary
As mention in the offer letter.

9) Dress code

a) Gents
Half/full-sleeved collared shirts, collared t-shirts, formal trousers, single-colored full length jeans, corduroys and chinos. These can be paired with appropriate footwear like formal black or brown leather shoes, loafers or sports shoes.

b) Ladies
Saree, salwar/churidhar/leggings with kameez, kurtis, tops, collared shirts/t-shirts, formal trousers, single-colored full length jeans, corduroys, chinos and full-length skirts. These can be paired with appropriate footwear.

10) Working Time
The normal workings hours are between 9AM and 6PM from Monday to Friday i.e., eight (8) working hours and a break for an hour

However, Company may increase or decrease the working hours per day without your consent.
You may also be required to work on a shift basis.

11) Transport
Transportation will be offered upon your request and will be charged.


12) Food
Food will be offered upon your request and will be charged.
